Some of the best stories transport readers to places they’ve never seen with their own eyes.
That’s one of the reasons why it’s such a gift to work with someone like Ana Ramirez, who will go anywhere and do just about anything to get a story.
She’ll climb a mountain. She’ll fly her drone hundreds of feet into the sky. She’ll dive deep into the ocean with her camera protected in underwater housing.
And, of course, she tells plenty of stories right here at sea level, too.
This week, we welcome Ana to the Uptown 11 Studios team. She joins our storytelling ranks from The San Diego Union-Tribune, where Ana documented daily life and told in-depth photo and video stories about some of the most pressing issues in our region.
Ana’s extensive newspaper experience, paired with her infinite curiosity and deep care for San Diego, makes her the perfect person to grow our visual storytelling capabilities on behalf of Uptown 11’s vast network of partners and clients.
