The Barrio Logan Association came to us with a clear purpose: keep community events alive, sustainable and reflective of the neighborhood they’re rooted in.
Barrio Logan is one of San Diego’s most culturally significant neighborhoods. The BLA works hard to protect that identity, while finding consistent funding and aligned partners.
Working as the fiscal sponsor of All For Logan, the neighborhood's annual and seasonal events were growing, but the systems behind them needed to grow, too. They needed:
A reliable partnership pipeline
Materials that reflected the neighborhood’s authenticity
Support communicating their vision to organizations that could help them carry it forward
Instead of starting with design or visuals, we started with infrastructure.
Working alongside the BLA, we developed:
A partnership framework tailored to their mission and capacity
Outreach assets rooted in Barrio Logan’s history and creative energy
A strategy for engaging organizations that aligned with community values
A comprehensive pitch deck that clearly articulated the value of supporting Barrio Logan and the events that define the neighborhood
This work allowed the BLA to secure support for some of their most meaningful cultural gatherings - and to continue building community power from within the neighborhood.
As partnerships grew, we also documented the events that define Barrio Logan. Photography came in as a supporting tool - a way to show partners, businesses and the community what their contributions make possible.
Our work included:
Organized by All For Logan and supported in 2025 by the Barrio Logan Association, the annual event is a day that brings families together around tradition, remembrance and heritage.
In its inaugural year, this neighborhood-wide celebration included music, makers, food and culture.
A hands-on, family-focused event where kids explore creativity, innovation and discovery.
Each event added to a growing visual archive the BLA can draw from for outreach, storytelling and future partnership building.
By helping the BLA formalize how they bring partners into the neighborhood - and by documenting the culture those partnerships sustain - we helped build a foundation for continued growth, celebration and community support.
This work wasn’t about changing the neighborhood.
It was about bringing partners together to celebrate the people and traditions that make Barrio Logan what it is.
