Specialty Food Association

case study

The Challenge

The Specialty Food Association was bringing its Winter Fancy Faire trade event to San Diego and needed to showcase the host city’s food scene to a national audience of specialty food buyers — in a way that drew them out of the convention center and into the neighborhoods.

What We Did

  • Produced the Campus Tasting Trail neighborhood video series across three San Diego neighborhoods: Barrio Logan, Gaslamp Quarter, and Little Italy
  • Conducted restaurant video shoots at Por Vida, SD Wine & Culinary Center, Hayes Burger, Barbusa, Huntress, Lumi, Rustic Root, Davanti Enoteca, Soap Factory, and Lia’s Lumpia
  • Filmed the Buyers Welcome Reception
  • Produced “Culture in Common at The Soap Factory” documentary segment
  • Delivered the Expanded Experiences video plus On Site Experiences and Full Show Sizzle videos for the main event
  • Served as the Destination Management Company to produce the Campus Tasting Trail event in Barrio Logan

Impact

The neighborhood films served as cultural ambassadors for San Diego’s specialty food scene during a major national trade event, connecting buyers to the city’s restaurant ecosystem beyond the convention floor.
